COVID-19 (2019)

Symptoms include cough, fever, and shortness of breath, and the disease can range from mild to severe and even life-threatening. It spreads through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person talks, coughs, or sneezes.

MonkeyPox

MonkeyPox is a viral illness similar to smallpox and new sickness primarily affecting people in regions such as India and West Africa near tropical rainforests. It is transmitted to humans from animals, such as rodents or monkeys.

Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) (2020)

Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) is a new sickness condition that affects children and causes inflammation in multiple body systems, including the heart, lungs, kidneys, brain, skin, eyes, or gastrointestinal organs. It was first identified during the COVID-19 pandemic and is believed to be linked to previous infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Symptoms of MIS-C can include fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, skin rashes, and swollen hands and feet.

 B.1.351 variant (2021)

B.1.351 is a variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19. It was first identified in South Africa in November 2021 and has since spread globally. The B.1.351 variant is thought to be more contagious and new diseases and has several mutations that could impact its ability to spread, cause disease, and evade immunity. While the variant has not been shown to cause more severe illness, it has raised concerns about its potential impact on the effectiveness of vaccines and treatments.

PIMS-TS (2021)

PIMS-TS (Pediatric Inflammatory Multisystem Syndrome Temporally associated with SARS-CoV-2) is a condition that affects children and causes inflammation in multiple body systems, including the heart, lungs, kidneys, brain, skin, eyes, and gastrointestinal organs. It was first identified during the COVID-19 pandemic and is believed to be linked to previous infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Symptoms of PIMS-TS can include fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, skin rashes, and swollen hands and feet.

Tomato flu

In Kerala, India, the new flu known as tomato flu has surfaced in youngsters under the age of five. Due to the horrific COVID-19 pandemic, watchful management is preferred to stop further outbreaks of the rare viral infection, which is in an endemic condition and is not thought to be life-threatening. However, the symptoms of the tomato flu were the same as covid.
